My Approach

Hello, and welcome. I’m Chris and I’m a qualified humanistic psychotherapeutic counsellor with specialist training in bereavement, identity and working within the ASD & LGBTQ+ community. (I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor). Whatever life’s throwing your way, be it anxiety or an overwhelming feeling, I believe in treating the individual, and my approach draws from the humanistic tradition which puts you at the centre, and explores concepts such as growth, choice, understanding and meaning- making.

Typically, you can expect a gentle beginning as we start to find your therapeutic needs via a person centred approach which can then be built upon depending on those needs. I also draw from other schools within the humanistic tradition such as Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and Existential therapies to aid and support you in the here-and-now.

Together, we can help you on a journey to find meaning behind what life is like for you with empathy, non-judgement, and warmth to find your true potential. You deserve to feel your best self.

I currently am able to offer sessions online, over the phone or in person on a 1-1 basis for adults - please see below for further details on availability or contact me for more info.
